Students are not assigned homework. They are given opportunities during the day to complete classwork, but if they do not finish it by the end of the day they can take it home.

We are lucky to have a mom who is an art teacher. She worked with our students to create their own work of art similar to Romero Britto. A piece created by a student is displayed at the top of this page.

There are several types of learning styles so we try to incorporate a few with our students, by writing and projecting the content, as well as reading it aloud. All of our students prefer one of these methods, so we do all three in each lesson.

Each year one of our field trips is to the Brevard Zoo with the Brevard Achievement Center. They put on a fun filled morning with lots of activities. The windsock in this picture was painted by our students in school, and then hung up in the zoo for everyone to see.
